After his own universe was destroyed, Orion discovered the truth behind reality. From that moment on, he began an endless journey through different universes, determined to prevent the same from happening again. But each time he failed.

Sometimes he arrived too late. Other times he tried to warn people, but nobody listened to him. Often he arrived only moments before a universe went down, so he could do nothing but watch complete realities be wiped out.

After numerous failures, he ended up in another universe. This time everything seemed different. There were no signs of an approaching apocalypse. No disasters. No cracks in reality. For the first time in a long time, a universe seemed safe. While wandering purposelessly through space, he met the first man he had seen in a very long time: An astronaut. The astronaut was in orbit around a planet reminiscent of Saturn. On that planet lived a human research base. The location was chosen because they were close to a supermassive black hole that had been sending strange signals to satellites for some time.

Orion and the astronaut became friends. Orion had virtually no one left, while the astronaut found him fascinating. After all, a living black hole wasn't something you ran into every day. Months passed.

During that period the investigation into the mysterious black hole Orion began to worry more and more. He didn't know exactly what was there, but he felt that if humanity ever discovered what was really hidden in that black hole, it would mean the end of everything. And Orion couldn't bear to watch another universe die.

He asked his friend to convince the scientists to stop their research. However, the astronaut refused. Not because he didn't believe Orion, but because any explanation would automatically reveal the existence of Orion. Orion had asked him to keep his existence a secret. Then the disaster began.

But this time everything went differently than Orion was used to. Instead of a complete universal catastrophe, only the research base on the Saturn-like planet was attacked. Monsters appeared out of nowhere and committed a massacre.

For the first time, Orion saw an opportunity to actually change something. He descended to the base and destroyed the monsters before they could wipe everyone out. People saw him, but only for a moment. Before anyone could understand what he was, he disappeared again.

However, the incident had consequences. The astronaut was recalled to the planet to assist in the aftermath of the attack. Because victims had fallen and an unknown anomaly was now on the loose, the investigation into the supermassive black hole was temporarily shut down. That gave Orion something he hadn't had in a long time: Hope.

Despite the attack, the universe continued to exist. It wasn't destroyed. Reality didn't collapse. Everything went on as if nothing had happened. He didn't understand why only the base was attacked, but he didn't care. Maybe this was finally the universe that could be saved. He spent more time with the astronaut. They talked about space, about stars, about black holes and things that no human being could ever understand. For Orion it was a rare moment of peace.
